Ministocks are the newest class running in speedway today. Wanganui was the catalyst for the class, introducing it in the mid-90's. The lightweight 700 kg cars are powered by a donor car's engine no larger than 1200cc - usually a Toyota or Datsun. The standard running gear from the donor car is used and cab be as cheap as $3,000 to build. While full contact is prohibited, gentle contact is allowable, meaning that officials are often asked to adjudicate in situations
