How the Points System Operates

Points are allocated for ALL races:

Standard Races:

1^st =  10; 2^nd = 9; 3^rd = 8; 4^th = 7; 5^th = 6; 6^th = 5; 7th=4; 8th=3; 9th=2; 10=1 

Feature Races:

1^st =  20; 2^nd = 18; 3^rd = 16; 4^th = 14; 5^th = 12; 6^th = 10; 7th=8; 8th=6; 9th=4; 10th=2 

Grand Slam Races:

1^st =  6; 2^nd = 5; 3^rd = 4; 4^th = 3; 5^th = 2; 6^th = 1

Points are allocated to the driver of a vehicle not the vehicle itself.

Feature Points are included in the overall season points as well as being recorded separately.

Stockcars/Superstocks - when these two classes race together in a Standard or Feature Race, they are awarded points as per their placings per class.  For example if Supers finish 1, 2, 5, 6 and 8, they will be awarded points as 10, 9, 8, 7, 6 up to 10^th place.

If Stockcars finish 3, 4, 7 and 10 in the same race, they will also be awarded points as 10, 9, 8, 7 up to 10^th place.  

The Grand Slam allocates its own points and these are awarded as per the placings regardless of class (Stockcars or Superstocks.)

When a Championship is run at a meeting (West Coast Champs), points will be awarded on the Championship Race.

Losing track of points can occur when Drivers swap vehicles during a Race Meeting and don't notify the Office Staff.
